The Westerville City Schools Board of Education will convene in a regular/organizational meeting at 6 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 13 at the District's Early Learning Center, 936 Eastwind Drive, in Westerville.

It’s not hard to run into Twinkle at Westerville South High School. 

The 5-year-old Canine Companions facility dog welcomes students arriving at school in the morning, greets them in the hallway during passing periods, and visits classrooms to support teachers with mindfulness lessons and breathing exercises during class breaks.

The recently renovated Wolf Pack Shack opened for students at Walnut Springs Middle School on Friday, where they packed macaroni and cheese, pasta fixings, canned goods, snacks and other donated items for meals over the weekend.

Fourth-graders at Robert Frost and Mark Twain elementaries explored wind energy thanks to a special lesson with science students at Westerville North High School this week.

Westerville students, staff and community members can now nominate District staff and adult volunteers for a Great Educator Mentor (GEM) Award, which is presented to individuals who go the extra mile to make a positive impact in the classroom and schools.

Westerville Central, Westerville North and Westerville South high schools are each hosting an  Information Night where high school students, as well as current eighth-graders, can learn more about classes and activities for the 2025-26 school year.
